Quick Review: JTT Scenery Products Model Spray Glue

This pre-made scenery glue comes in a convenient pump spray bottle.

I picked this up from Hobby Lobby along with an empty pump spray bottle used in the article.

This convenient glue helps to speed up scenery construction. I used it to secure various AZ Rock & Mineral products and some fine Woodland Scenics blended turf.

I first spread full strength white glue over the scenery base, then sifted AZ Rock & Mineral "beach sand" over. Once dry, there were some low spots, as well as some areas where the glue did not penetrate the beach sand.

I sifted some more beach sand over the scenery, then used a 50% isopropyl alcohol mixture, in the empty mister bottle mentioned, to soak the new layer of beach sand. This helps the glue sink in.

I then tested the JTT Model Scenery Glue. I misted the whole scene with the glue, getting a light milky look, but no puddles.

I then sifted some Woodland Scenics blended grass turf on top. I lightly misted that with the isopropyl alcohol again and a little more glue.

I did notice that the glue failed to secure the high pile of AZ Rock & Mineral Rip-rap under the bridge, so I resorted to a 50/50 mix of Elmers glue-all and distilled water. This can be found in other articles linked below.

I would highly recommend this spray glue, as this scenery project proceeded extremely fast and efficient.
